Evaluation of antioxidant activity in fruit extracts of Avicennia Marina L and Avicennia Officinalis L
Antioxidant activity of Avicenni marina L and Avicennia officinalis L fruit extracts in ethyl acetate, acetone, methanol and ethanol were studied by ABTS, CrO5 and FRAP method. All the extracts possessed significant amount of the antioxidant activity, extracts in methanol and ethanol was demonstrated convincingly higher antioxidant activity by all the three methods. Whereas, the ethyl acetate e...
متن کاملTwo new iridoids from Verbena officinalis L.
Two new iridoids, 3-(5-(methoxycarbonyl)-2-oxo-2H-pyran-3-yl)butanoic acid, named verbeofflin I (1), and 7-hydroxydehydrohastatoside (2), were isolated from the aerial part of Verbena officinalis L, along with three known iridoids, verbenalin (3), 3,4-dihydroverbenalin (4), hastatoside (5) by means of various column chromatography steps. The structures of these compounds were elucidated through...
متن کاملAn iridoid glucoside dimer and a non-glycosidic iridoid from the leaves of Lasianthus wallichii.
A new iridoid glucoside dimer (1) and a non-glycosidic iridoid (2) was isolated together with the known compounds, asperuloside (3), paederoside (4), daphylloside (5), citroside A (6) and benzyl 6-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), from the leaves of Lasianthus wallichii. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical evidence.
متن کاملFour new iridoid glucosides containing the furan ring from the fruit of Cornus officinalis.
Four new and rare iridoid glucosides, cornusfuroside A-D (1-4), containing the furan ring were identified from water extract of the fruit of Cornus officinalis. These new chemical structures were determined through extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR, IR, HRESIMS, experimental and calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD). Notably, this study is the first report on th...
متن کاملData in support of the proteomic analysis of plasma membrane and tonoplast from the leaves of mangrove plant Avicennia officinalis
In order to understand the salt tolerance and secretion in mangrove plant species, gel electrophoresis coupled with LC-MS-based proteomics was used to identify key transport proteins in the plasma membrane (PM) and tonoplast fractions of Avicennia officinalis leaves. PM and tonoplast proteins were purified using two-aqueous-phase partitioning and density gradient centrifugation, respectively. F...
